The short version: this site sets no cookies at all unless you press Accept, and the only ones it sets if you do are Google Analytics. There is no advertising, no tracking across other websites, and nothing is sold.

Nothing is set before you choose

When you first arrive, a notice asks whether we may measure how the site is used. Until you answer, analytics is switched off. That is technical, not just intent: the page tells Google’s consent framework that storage is denied before any Google code is allowed to load, and the analytics script is not fetched at all.

If you press Decline, or ignore the notice, nothing is stored and no request is made to Google.

What is set if you accept

_ga: set by Google Analytics. Distinguishes one browser from another, so two visits by the same person are not counted as two people. Lasts two years.

_ga_<container id>: set by Google Analytics. Keeps the state of a single visit. Lasts two years.

We use these to see which pages are read and which are not. We do not use them to identify you, they are not joined to anything else we hold, and IP addresses are anonymised. Advertising and personalisation signals are switched off and stay off whatever you choose.

Google Analytics is provided by Google LLC, which processes the data as our processor. Their description of it is at business.safety.google/privacy.

What we store to remember your choice

One entry in your browser’s local storage, named la-consent, holding the word granted or denied. It is first-party, it never leaves your browser, and it exists so the notice does not ask you again on every page.

What this site does not do

• No advertising or retargeting pixels. No Meta pixel, no LinkedIn Insight tag, no tag manager.
• No session recording, heatmaps or scroll tracking.
• No fonts, scripts, stylesheets or images loaded from anyone else’s servers. Everything the page needs is served from this domain, which is also why the site is fast.
• No cross-site tracking of any kind, and no sale or sharing of personal information.

Changing your mind

Choose Consent settings, in the small print at the foot of every page, and the notice reappears. Whatever you choose then replaces your earlier answer, and declining after having accepted stops analytics immediately.

You can also clear cookies and site data in your browser, which resets the choice, and most browsers offer a setting to block cookies altogether. This site works normally with cookies blocked.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Because nothing loads without an explicit Accept, a browser sending Do Not Track or a Global Privacy Control signal is already in the position those signals ask for.
